The love of our lives was born on 8.13.09 and is the light of our lives. Mills is our happy, busy, typical little boy, who never slows down. He is a huge fan of Moose and Zee, Handy Manny and Mickey Mouse and loves playing with his "big-brother-dog," Joey. There is not a day that goes by that I don't look at this precious miracle given to us by God and sit in awe.

Mills wakes up every morning anywhere from 6:30-7:00. I know it is probably because I have to get him up and take him to Mimi's house before work. So, his little internal alarm must be set to those times. On the weekends, he will wake up, have his milk and breakfast and play for about an hour or so and then, he starts getting cranky and rubbing his eyes. So, I put him back in his crib, and he will sleep for at least 2 hours. Is this normal? It's like he wakes up, but is not really "done" with his nigh time sleep, but wakes up anyway. He never wakes up and goes back to sleep. So, I always end up going upstairs to get him, change his diaper, and bring him back downstairs for the start of the day; only to find myself putting him back down around 9:30ish. He takes an afternoon nap (most of the time) too. Usually around 1:30 or 2:00. How many of your kids still took 2 naps at age 1? I guess his little body just gets worn out with a little bit of stimulation?

If I remember correctly, Jonah took 3 naps a day until he was almost 1! He then took 2 naps a day until he was 2 1/2, I think. Mary Claire took 2 naps a day until she turned 2. You'll know when he's ready to drop that 2nd nap. He'll let you know, believe me. Treasure his nap times! :-)
he sounds exactly like my two girls!! Anna Brooke dropped to one nap prob around 15 months. then she just took one 3 hour nap right after lunch!!! you can get alot done in 3 hours!!!!
Amy,Jenny wakes up every morning at 7am and is ready to take a nap at around 9-9:30. The morning nap is only on weekends. At daycare they lay down at around 11-11:30 and leep till around 2-2:30. She will not take a morning nap at daycare, I guess cause there are other kids there. so your not alone...
completely normal. ENJOY this time where he does take two naps, because I promise in the not to distant future, you will be wanting that nap time back!!!! Maggie refuses to take a nap for me at all, and it about kills me because she has SOOOO much energy!!!!
Totally normal! Holden and Rylan both took 2 naps until about 20 months. Rylan still will sometimes take two still but usually just one around 1:00. Enjoy two naps...you still can get something done:)
