I woke up feeling uncomfortable, which was later followed by extreme severe pain and vomiting. A hot bath of water was the only small relief I could get, but it did not last for long. I had no idea what was wrong with me, but after looking up my symptoms on webmd, all signs pointed toward a kidney stone, which led me to call my FNP for advice. Her words, "Go the ER!" So, off I went, carried by my mommy-in-law, to Methodist North Hospital. I've never groaned, grunted, cried, and begged for help like I did this morning. Wow! People are right when they say that it is worse than natural birth, even though I have never experienced it either. I can only imagine.
The hospital staff was awesome. They wasted NO time getting me back, IV'd catheterized ,tests run, including CT scan, and pain meds. An hour or so later, I was indeed diagnosed with a 3mm kidney stone. 3mm? Yes, it felt like a golf ball.
All afternoon, I slept with a groggy head and drowned myself with water with hopes of passing that thing. Luckily, the ugly little stone is finally out! How could something so small, cause so much pain?

The love of our lives was born on 8.13.09 and is the light of our lives. Mills is our happy, busy, typical little boy, who never slows down. He is a huge fan of Moose and Zee, Handy Manny and Mickey Mouse and loves playing with his "big-brother-dog," Joey. There is not a day that goes by that I don't look at this precious miracle given to us by God and sit in awe.
