A Beautiful Day, A Boy and His Dog

Today, has been absolutely wonderful.  The weather is perfect and the skies are beautiful.  I think this is probably the prettiest day, next to yesterday, that we have had all year.

After complete and utter exhaustion from yesterday, and due to a few "minor" side effects from Mills' antibiotic, we unfortunately missed church this morning, and have spent the day recovering.  I absolutely hate missing church and hate for Mills to miss it as well.  My weekly dose of worship keeps my heart nurtured and going for the week and when I miss, my whole week is thrown off.

Staying inside most of the morning was okay for Mills, because he had a lot of new toys to play with.  He loves them all and has been going from one to the other.  After breakfast, we snuggled in the bed and watched Toy Story, again, and Mills so sweetly covered me up, patted me, kissed, me and said, "Night night mama. Okay?"  Then he snuggled with me, pulled up his covers, and watched TV.  Evidently he knows how tired I am and wanted me to rest with him. Yeah, right. That lasted about 30 minutes.

After his afternoon nap, or should I say, OUR afternoon nap, we went outside for a game of basketball, playtime with Joey, and of course, Mills slid and swung for quite a while.  We truly enjoyed the weather.  I'll take more of this.  Please!
