Mills knows what the potty is, and tells us when he has gone, but if you ask him, "Do you want to go tee-tee in the potty?", he says, "No!" Yes, he has done it before. He has even been rewarded for it, but honestly, the child doesn't care a thing about the potty. We have been strongly advised to stay away from "pull-up" training pants by so many, and have been encouraged to let him wear big boy underwear so that he can feel how uncomfortable it is to "go" in them. Guess what. He didn't care. Of course that was a few months ago.
Our next strategy is to maybe motivate him with books. I have searched for books on the web, and who knew that there were only about a million of them. Have any of you bought potty motivating books? If so, which were favorites. Maybe if we start reading now, he will be more motivated to try this summer. Here's hoping!
Now, this one looks interesting. Mills loves anything with a fireman.
I do not particularly care for the word "pee" especially for a two year old, but Mo Willems is a house favorite. Maybe I can change the wording to "tee tee." ha! It even has a chart and stickers.
The love of our lives was born on 8.13.09 and is the light of our lives. Mills is our happy, busy, typical little boy, who never slows down. He is a huge fan of Moose and Zee, Handy Manny and Mickey Mouse and loves playing with his "big-brother-dog," Joey. There is not a day that goes by that I don't look at this precious miracle given to us by God and sit in awe.

I definitely recommend big boy underwear and setting a timer!
