A childhood memory and pastime. A bunch a boys, me,( the only girl), a few mason jars who would meet at the basketball goal by the security light and catch lightning bugs. I think we were pros. Another thing I have missed about living out here.
Mills, he'll be a pro too, ya know? We started our first lesson tonight. Mills just happened to receive an awesome bug net and "bug motel" for his birthday, thanks to his friends Sam Harris and Faith, and The Freckled Frog.
Erik and I, along with "Wessie" and Mills caught about six in ten minutes or so. There were not as many out tonight as usual, but we did our best.
Yes, they went to bed with him, and I am "trusting" that they will still be in their "room" in the morning. Yeah. Right. What was I thinking?
The love of our lives was born on 8.13.09 and is the light of our lives. Mills is our happy, busy, typical little boy, who never slows down. He is a huge fan of Moose and Zee, Handy Manny and Mickey Mouse and loves playing with his "big-brother-dog," Joey. There is not a day that goes by that I don't look at this precious miracle given to us by God and sit in awe.
