Trick-or-Treat!

Halloween was a blast, tonight.  Mills had his first "real-deal" trick-or-treating experience.  This is actually the first year that he is able to actually walk around, say "trick-or-treat," and eat the candy that he has collected...in moderation of course. ha!
We only made a few stops tonight.  He is still so young and I think the excitement can be a little overwhelming, so we kept it simple.  He had fun and so did we.
E had to take Buzz to the doctor this morning, after a VERY long day yesterday.  He was up all night Saturday night, and yesterday, let us know that he was not feeling well.  So, to nip it, a quick trip to Dr. O was on schedule this morning.  Mills was feeling fine, of course.  They always are after you make an appointment, but I still wanted, whatever it was taken care of.  Results:  double ear infection.  Not bad, but still infected.  It did not slow him down tonight, but we kept it short and sweet.

Fall Fest at FBC

Wednesday night, we attended our church's annual fall festival.  This was Mills' third year to attend, and he has evolved from lobster, to elephant, and finally this year's choice....Buzz Lightyear.  Earlier, I found an adorable dragon costume, but the more I got to thinking about it, I'm not sure if Mills would really care to be a dragon.  His costume isn't about me, it's about him, and he LOVES Buzz.
After hearing the theme for the Heritage Day parade, which was "superheroes"  I decided that killing two birds with one stone would be the best idea.  Mills is too young to know about Superman, Batman, etc., and to us, Buzz Lightyear is a superhero.  He's Mills' superhero, anyway.  So, Buzz it was...and is!
Mills enjoyed this year, especially since he is actually old enough to "sort of" play the games.  He had a ball!

Pumpkin smash game

"Air bowling?...maybe?" ha!

Look at that throw!
Mills and his buddy Sebastian giving high fives!  Aren't they the cutest Buzz Lightyears ever?!!!

The Annual Carving of the Pumpkin

Last night, we carved the pumpkin that we bought at CHF this past weekend.  We only did one this year, since we were a little later than usual.
Last year, we did three.  Mills was a big help at scooping out the pumpkin, but this year, not so much. To be completely honest, he could have cared less about scooping, but wanted to play with the carving saws instead.  Not good!  So, I hid them, and he watched me carve, after I did all of the scooping.  He just sat there, eating graham crackers, and kept saying, "Yay, Mama! You card the punkin!"

If you ask me, he's pretty cute, huh?

Cedar Hill Farms

What a blast we had today!  Whitney and I took Mills and Lainey down to their first adventure at Cedar Hill Farms.  It was so worth the drive!  The weather was perfect. There was so much to do and I think the kids really enjoyed it.
We took a hayride to the pumpkin patch, and the kids picked out their very own pumpkin. They had a big pirate ship to play on, as well.  Then, we stopped and bought a few more pumpkins in the pumpkin barn.
Next it was off to the pony rides, pig races, petting zoo, and lastly, we rode the choo choo.  We can't wait for next year's, NEXT adventure at Cedar Hill.  We will definitely make it a year-to-year tradition.

Enjoying suckers on the way to the pumpkin patch
There were tons to choose from
Mills is no match for this big pumpkin.  You should have heard him grunting.
Lainey has found her pumpkin
Hmmm...this looks like it may be the one!
Or not.  He's off again!
Mills is still searching.
If it looks like Mills has just finished his first round in the Olympic sport of pumpkin-chunkin', he has.  He was throwing the things!  Geez!
Look! Over here!
