Mother's Day 2012

We had a wonderful Mother's Day this year!  After church, we headed out to Dee and Pop's house for Sunday lunch.  We ate until we were stuffed and the kids played and played.  The grown-ups did too!

Lainey and Dee playing with the sand bucket.  I have no idea what Mills and Pops are doing in the background.

Mom, me and Mills.  Mills was NOT into getting his picture made that day.  Naptime was calling his name.

I love being a mommy!

Erik loving on Whit.

Mills telling his daddy to STOP loving on Whit.

These pictures of Erik and Lainey will be famous one day.  Again, she is looking at me like:  Why is this crazy guy always grabbing me and and smiling ridiculously big?

Me with the best mom in the world!

Tennessee Safari Park

Mills was invited to one of our very best friend, Preston's, fifth birthday party this morning at Tennessee Safari Park, in Alamo.  It was on our list to visit this month, so luckily, we were able to go sooner than expected, and for such a special reason.  We had a blast.  Mills has been looking forward to it all week long and has asked me every day if we were going to see the animals.  Preston, thank you for showing us such a good time.  It as the best birthday party ever!  Happy Birthday to YOU!

The sweetest giraffe ever!

Yes, that is our child, kissing a baby goat.  What can I say?  He LOVES animals!  The goat was fond of Mills too!

Mills, Kate, and Lane take their turn on the the carousel.  The music from this thing was loud enough to drive anyone crazy!

Here we go again.  Mary Claire hops on for some fun too.  This mama went through some quarters.

Sweet birthday boy

The kangaroos were awesome!

Deer flooding our trailer.  They were wanting some bread, and boy did they get plenty.

Mills is ready to feed the animals!

The birthday crew.  Notice my rebellious one over to the right.  He wanted to stand "Wight here, mama!"

We all sang "Happy Birthday" and enjoyed some awesome cupcakes.

These two had the messiest, but cutest mouths of the bunch.

Now THAT'S TALENT!

Mills' favorite part of the whole trip.  This giraffe was so sweet.  He must have very good eyes, because he ate a LOT of carrots!

Mills must have gone down this slide a dozen times.

Before we left, we took another ride through the park in our own car.  Mills was actually able to get closer to the animals and pet them.

He kept saying, "Hey wittle fella!  What's your name?"

Last but not least, we say goodbye to Mr. Camel.
We cannot WAIT to go back.  I am planning a sooner than later trip back to the park, because we had such a good time.

**On a side note, my bff, Christi, the mother of the birthday boy, was unable to attend this wonderful birthday celebration.  Unfortunately, she was struck by the flu.  She was missed very much, and we are hoping that she feels better soon.
Christi, Ryan did an excellent job at the party and we had a BLAST!  you!

Enjoying a Beautiful Day

The weather and temperatures were absolutely beautiful today.  I could have stayed outside on our back porch and enjoyed the cool breeze all day.  I think Mills agrees.

Santa brought him an awesome tricycle last year, and he can ride it like a pro.  Thankfully, our cove is very safe to ride in.
