19 months

It seems as if I just wrote a post on Mills being 18 months. Here we go again! We're at 19 months and time deserves a speeding ticket! When I look at him, a little voice inside my head says, "He's not a baby anymore. He's a little boy." I don't like it, but I am taking in all that I can.

Mills, here is what you're up to at 19 months:
  • You love Curious George....books, TV, your plush "Geor" (George)...you love it all. You like to do the "Shake-a-rama" dance on Nick Jr. You can "shake your hands up high high high, shake'em way down low low low."

  • Just yesterday, you FINALLY rode your 4-wheeler all by yourself. Since Christmas, you have not been so sure about it and were afraid to get on and push the button to make it go. Yesterday, I took you outside and your drove it all the way around the cove and got upset with me when I made you get off to go inside for dinner. Another new favorite is your busy ball popper. Santa brought it to you for your first Christmas and you have been terrified of it. Now, you LOVE it. I am so glad.
  • Books: you love all books and are getting better about sitting still in my lap when I read to you.

  • You have discovered the art of screaming. For no reason, you just have this "shrill" scream. You scream, then laugh. Mommy doesn't really think its funny, but hey..

  • Teeth: at this point, you have 10, but are cutting 6...at ONCE. We've been waiting on your upper laterals for months, and just when they start erupting, so are your cuspids....greeeeaaat. I'm just glad that they are on the way. Only 4 more to go! :)
  • You are getting to be a little pro at washing your hands. Mommy still helps you, but you sure can scrub up good with your Kandoo soap. I think you just like sticking your hands under the water. That's a good thing.

  • A funny: your Aunt Judy and Uncle Byron bought you a roll up cloth barn that has 3 small horses in it. It is GREAT for quiet play!!! You like to take your horses out and bounce them across the table while making a high-pitched "whinny" sound. It is too precious. You have also started saying, "Wheeeeeeeeeee!" every time I turn on to one street from another. It's as if mommy's car is a roller coaster?!

  • Every day, you "test" us in some form or fashion. I know it is just part of your learning process, but we don't like having to get on to you. The fact that you will be two in just 5 short months is getting me a little worried. Hopefully those "terrible twos" won't be so bad.
  • Food: you still eat just about anything you can get your hands on, although, you are discovering the differences in taste. The one thing that I have found you are not just "wild" about are scrambled eggs, but every now and then you will eat them.

What do you do when its rainy out? You ride your four-wheeler inside! Sometimes you've got to do, what you've got to do!
