After we all went to bed, he woke up several times crying with loud, horrible breathing, but went to sleep after I would go on his room an rock him. "I want in my bed," he said. He slept fine and woke up at 8:00 with his normal call: "Maaaaamaaaa! I'm frew!"
I called our pediatrician's office at 7:30 am and made him an appointment with Dr. O for 10:50. He seemed to be feeling fine, but sounded terrible.
Mills loves the Dr.! He ran back demanding to be weighed and wanted his height checked. Dr Owen could hear Mills breathing as he walked past our room. He stopped, came in and Mills willingly let him check him out. He then yelled to the nurse and told her to cancel the breathing treatment, turned to me and said, "croup!" Greaaaat! Luckily, he had the meds we needed in office and gave us three packs to take home and use over a course of three days.
Prednisone has turned our little one into a non-stop, hyperactive monster. He has been bouncing of the walls for two days and this mama and daddy are exhausted! I hope we never see the likes of this evil stuff ever again! We have one more day of it and cannot wait to be over. You would never know that this kid has a virus!
The love of our lives was born on 8.13.09 and is the light of our lives. Mills is our happy, busy, typical little boy, who never slows down. He is a huge fan of Moose and Zee, Handy Manny and Mickey Mouse and loves playing with his "big-brother-dog," Joey. There is not a day that goes by that I don't look at this precious miracle given to us by God and sit in awe.
