Dr. Visit #5

After today's appointment, I was very relieved to know that everything is still going very well! Baby's heart sounded great, but I won't talk about my weight. We were supposed to have an ultrasound today, but are putting it off until next month when I do my glucose test. Dr. S figured that since I have an hour or so to kill while waiting on my test results that an ultrasound would fit in just fine, and I agree with him. However, I also had heard a rumor a few weeks ago about my doctor, but was hoping that it was just that, a rumor. But unfortunately it was not. I was very saddened today when he looked at me and said, "okay, I have to tell you something...I'm moving." I looked at him and told him that I was hoping that he wasn't going to tell me that, and that I had heard it a few weeks ago. Dr. Stern's family is in Colorado, so he and his wife and children will be packing up and heading out of here at the end of June. I can't blame him for wanting to move to Colorado and be with his family. The situation today was more of a "poor poor pitiful me" than a "poor poor pitiful doc." I have been seeing Dr. Stern for 9 years. He is a WONDERFUL doctor and I was looking forward to hopefully having him deliver my first baby, but unfortunately that won't be the case. I was very sad! Adams Patterson is a wonderful group and I'm sure that the doctor he has recommended will be just fine, but regardless he will still be missed!!!

Oh no! I had no idea Dr. Stern was moving! As you know, he delivered all 3 of mine! He will be greatly missed. As for Mills, I am happy to hear he is moving right along! I am sure Dr. Stern will make sure you are placed with a wonderful dr. that you will be happy with for the birthing of your sweet baby boy!

hate to hear he is leaving. you know I switched to him when Dr. Miller decided to leave in the middle of my pregnancy. I loved him, but he wasn't on call when AB decided to come into this world. Luckily there are alot of good docs in the practice. He is wonderful...sad he is leaving.
