Eight years ago, today, I married my best friend. It seems like yesterday, that I woke up with a smile on my face, knowing that it was my wedding day. A calm bride, I had a relaxing care-free day, and even took a 3 hour nap that morning, after running a few errands and dodging my soon to be hubby, who was at the time, at the country club, where I was headed to check out the decor. We did the old tradition of not seeing each other before we met at the alter, and I wouldn't have had it any other way. I remember riding with my friend, Kelli, up the drive to the club, and getting a phone call, saying that E was there, but leaving. I literally got in the floor board as we passed each other coming and going, so that he would not see me. *oh yeah, she was driving of course.
Oh, what a wonderful 8 years it has been! We had almost seven and a half years of time to ourselves, before welcoming the most precious gift that God could have ever blessed us with. I am one lucky lady. Erik is the best husband and father that I could ask for. You see, we were never sure about having children, but the baby bug bit me in July of 2008. Four months later, we found out that we were going to parents...WOW! We LOVE IT!!!
Erik, thank you so much for a wonderful eight years of happiness, good times, and always being there for me. Thank you so much for helping me in everything I do, no matter how ill and exhausted I get from those daily mommy duties. You're always helping me...fixing bottles, bathing Mills, helping me read to him, sing to him, and putting him to bed. I thank being the sweet romantic you are and doing those "little things" that let me know you're thinking of me when you are away from home. I look sooo forward to many more years together. A lot lies ahead, and I am excited! I love you, E! Happy Anniversary!!

The love of our lives was born on 8.13.09 and is the light of our lives. Mills is our happy, busy, typical little boy, who never slows down. He is a huge fan of Moose and Zee, Handy Manny and Mickey Mouse and loves playing with his "big-brother-dog," Joey. There is not a day that goes by that I don't look at this precious miracle given to us by God and sit in awe.
