My wonderful hubby and best friend of 11 years, that God has truly blessed me with. He is the BEST husband and dad in the world, and helps me in every way possible!!! Just call him "Super Dad!" Erik is a firefighter who enjoys his life golfing, hunting, and making his baby boy squirm with excitement and tons of smiles. I cannot brag on Erik enough!
The love of our lives was born on 8.13.09 and is the light of our lives. Mills is our happy, busy, typical little boy, who never slows down. He is a huge fan of Moose and Zee, Handy Manny and Mickey Mouse and loves playing with his "big-brother-dog," Joey. There is not a day that goes by that I don't look at this precious miracle given to us by God and sit in awe.
Joey is actually our "first" four-legged child. He is 10 years old, a whopping 87lbs, and gets the award for the best personality ever. Joey has slowly adapted to the fact that there is a "new kid" in the house. Chewing on his bone, riding in and on everything, hanging out under Mills' highchair, and letting Mills do anything and everything to him are all part of his daily routine.
I had a huge scare on Monday night. My computer went bonkers! After calling Dell and learning that my hard drive had gone bad, my heart sank. Thousands of pictures....lost in space! I had some of them backed-up, but not all of them, and was desperate for help. With a lot of prayer I tried the "system restore" option and luckily, I managed to get my laptop up and running again. It is only a matter of time before the hard dive completely crashes, so I am waiting patiently, and am using the computer until it does. So far, so good. ALL documents, pictures, and videos are safely backed up, and will be taken to the safest place I know, our bank safe. All of those pictures are the only thing we have to look back at the wonderful memories we have made. Especially, the past year and a half. While going through and organizing every folder and picture, I found this small clip. Oh how it made me smile. I wanted to cry too! It just goes to show you the silly things a mommy will do to get her baby to smile. Mommy's hold on to your babies. In no time, they grow up! Here is Mills approximately three and a half months old.
Amy I have two safe deposits boxes FULL of photos, cd's and keepsakes. It's great peace of mind knowing they are safe. Also, KodakGallery.com is a great place to store them and order an archive CD each year to keep them all in one place. A cd with 2000 photos is about $50- well worth it
I am loving life. God has blessed me with so much. I am the wife to my WONDERFUL husband of 11 years, Erik, and I am still wondering when the honeymoon will end! We just welcomed our first baby boy, Mills Oliver, on August 13, 2009 and feel truly blessed. I am a Christian who loves the Lord. He has given me so much more than I could ever deserve. Being a new mother has been the most rewarding and challenging thing that I have experienced! We are blessed with a wonderful family and terrific friends. In 2003 I FINALLY graduated with my B.S. in dental hygiene from the University of Tennessee.
