Congratulations to the Parrs!

its a boy Pictures, Images and Photos

I am excited! Mills has a friend that was born just yesterday around lunch time. Sebastian Conrad Parr was born to Donald and Kendra Parr weighing in at 8lbs and 13oz. Kendra, I can't wait to meet him. I'm sure Mills and Sebastian will be nursery buddies. It'll be so much fun, and Coco I'm sure will make a wonderful big sister!

Still Here

Sorry guys, I'm still here. I've gotten 2 emails in the past 3 days wondering where I've been all week. Truth is, we've been so busy making baby decisions that I haven't had the time for posting anything. There are so many decisions to be made around here and I feel as if August is closing in every day. I know! I know! I still have the heat of the summer ahead of me; and after all it is only April. But, I will tell you, baby has been "lively." He's going to be a good soccer player!

We finally settled on baby bedding. After all of the "hullaballoo," it all came down to what we see our baby sleeping in. I had picked out the most beautiful custom made bedding ever, but every time I would look at it, I just couldn't see our precious baby boy asleep on polka dots, stripes, and paisley, especially when he gets 2 or 3 years old. Yes, "Mrs. Picky" turned down the $$$ custom made monogrammed bedding for Pottery Barn's SWEETEST LITTLE MONKEY BEDDING EVER! Our little monkey is going to look adorable sleeping in his crib. So, I went ahead and ordered his curtains (only because they went on clearance), and managed to find the matching monkey on ebay (pottery barn no longer carries it.)

We completed our Babies R' Us registry yesterday after a long afternoon of shopping for baby furniture. By the way, none of you told me that doing so would make our heads hurt! In the beginning I had in mind what I wanted and was bound and determined to get it, but the price of baby furniture is RIDICULOUS and we were not about to spend $3000 on baby furniture. No way Jose! I love the look of an old traditional baby bed. We are not planning on converting it to a full size bed, so we were on the lookout for the less expensive kind that would convert to a toddler bed only, and still have enough on budget to by a dresser and chest of drawers. So the winner from Baby Time was....

"The Annabelle"

Last but not least- I have been eyeing baby's bassinet/travel crib for months. After finding it on SALE with free shipping (Yipee!) today, she had to be ordered! LOL! Of course I had to be difficult at wanting to find a simple one that didn't cost an arm and a leg, have too many gadgets, or look too "themey". The pack n' plays nowadays come with a changing topper, music and vibrations, and a light. I however do not need all of that, so I found the perfect one online a few months ago. Sweet, simple, and SMALL! I can't wait :)

Graco Travel Lite crib in "Rittenhouse"

P.S. I am wanting to know all of your "Mommy's favorites." If theres anything you think I should need. PLEASE, tell me tell me!!!

Good Friday

Luke 23:33,34
(33) And when they were come to the place, which is called Calvary, there they crucified him, and the malefactors, one on the right hand, and the other on the left. (34) Then said Jesus, Father, forgive them; for they know not what they do. And they parted his raiment, and cast lots.

*Even in the midst of His excruciating suffering, Jesus was forgiving and merciful. For He realized that those who put Him to death acted in ignorance, not truly understanding who it was they were killing. Let this be an example to us in our daily lives.

Happy 13th Birthday Rylee!

Today is Rylee's 13th birthday. It's hard to believe that she is 13 years old. She was born when I was a senior in highschool, so this birthday makes me feel really old. Especially since she is now a "teenager." Tonight as she was opening her presents, I sat there and thought, "Oh no, next year she'll be in 8th grade, and then she will be in highschool in only 2 more years." 'And then...she'll get her driver's licence in 3 more years, and then the next thing you know, she'll be off to college." I've got to stop thinking so much!
Tonight Rylee celebrated her birthday at her grandparent's home. Actually the party full of music, dancing, hotdogs and hamburgers, was held out in the barn and later ended with a hay-ride. I, however did not participate in the hay-ride, but I am sure they had a blast!

Happy Birthday Rylee!!!

If I Weren't So Picky...

I would have probably picked out my baby bedding, had it ordered, and painted Mills' nursery. Let's face it. I have always had my baby boy/baby girl dream nurseries pictured in my mind, and that's all fine and dandy until I actually have to do a nursery. Several years ago, I was in love with Pottery Barn's firetruck crib set. Well its been about 5 or 6 years since it even existed, and is no longer available of course. Every other firetruck crib set that I find is ugly and way to "themed." I'm not into those nurseries that have coordinating everything like lamps, valances, bedding, hampers, and the whole sha-bang. Ugh! I was also in love with their Cherry Blossom bedding as well, and I can still find it, but it's for a girl and just won't do. I have searched the Internet high and low and everything I even half-way like is over $900. That is absolutely crazy! Nope...not paying that people! I always figured that I would get my bedding from PB baby, since I am a confessing PB addict, but nothing really jumps out and grabs my attention. I've never been into primary colors, but it seems that is where everything is going now. I can find 1000 bedding sets that I like for girls, but baby boys are just so hard. Any suggestions?

Finally

Our little Mills has made his presence known. It is now 9:25. I have been home from church for about 20 minutes and have sat down to relax a little on the couch. I guess our "heavenly choir voices" got baby all excited. He is kicking with joy, and his Daddy got to feel him as well. How amazing?!! I think I was more excited about Erik being able to feel it than myself. I know that I'm not just "feeling things." I was beginning to wonder if our little guy was ever going to make himself known. I have been having those small contractions, but no kicks until now. Yipee!!!
