Pacified

Thank you oh dear inventors of the vibrating bouncy seat. Mills is loving it! Mommy and Daddy do too. If only it weren't against the rules to sleep in this thing at night. We definitely don't want to start any bad habits-lol!
I was up all night with my Mills again last night, but hey, its getting to be routine. How is it that I can stay up all night and still have the wide-eyed energy to stay awake and minor housework during the day? Must be a mom thing. Oh and notice the "soothie" on the right. Yeah, well, I have a drawer full of Nuk "pappys" in the nursery and he spits them out. Of course I'm the dental hygienist with the child that chooses not to use the popular orthodontic pacifier. Guess I'll have to break him sooner than expected! No complaints here though, he's asleep and not screaming his head off. Will this day/night thing ever get reversed? Please tell me "yes!"

YES it works itself out. I had forgotten about the vibrating bouncy set- it and the swing are wonderful. When you say he screams his head off is he kicking his legs as he screams? It could be colic. Jennifer had colic and as I recall, at times, it was a toss up as to which one of us was crying harder! I found a position that calmed and soothed Jenny. I placed a pillow on my lap, Jenny on her stomach on the pillow, gently patted her back with one hand and secured her with the other hand and gently sway my knees from side to side. Jenny loved her pacifier and Kristin hated them. It was easy to break that habit. My greatest piece of advice at this time is to rest when he is sleeping!!!!! Housework is easy to catch up on your rest isn't! This too will get better- hang in there

it will get easier, and girl if he sleeps in there he would be sleeping in there at night too! you gotta do what you gotta do for mommy to get some rest too. All habits can be broken when he starts to sleep a little better! You know you can let him stay in there.. then when you start to break him set the seat in his bed at nap when you can see him and slowly move him into it after he sleeps in the bouncer in his bed for a few days

They are definitely not joking when people say that the getting up all the time during the night to potty when your pregnant is getting you ready for the coming sleepless nights!

i agree! you do whatever it takes to get them to sleep even if it means breaking rules. i've leaned that there really are no rules in parenting and you will do whatever it takes for sleep and sanity. olivia slept in her swing all the time as a newborn and i let her because that was where she seemed happiest.
each baby is different and yours is PRECIOUS! we still have his gift and need to get it to you soon. i'll give you a week or so and maybe we can come by one day. sleep when he sleeps and don't feel guilty for it. it will make for a happier momma and baby

we used a Soothie until Lucy was 2 1/2. Her teeth are just fine. It was a life saver for us!!!
